DownLoad: ON THE HILL FINAL 2014

Presented by The Honorable Congressman Brad Sherman and the Congressional Entertainment Caucus, the Independent FIlm “Summit On the Hill” is a free public event held annually to provide leading industry, legal and government experts the opportunity to discuss key issues that impact the independent film and media industries. In the past, topics have included: Independent film as small business; tax incentives for independent film production; indie film as part of the US export industry; and film distribution.

The 2014 “Summit On the Hill” event will examine a number of U.S. regulations for crowdfunded enterprises that don’t seem to have been designed for film production. The panel will consider various options including a specific category within the legislation that matches the needs of both projects in the arts and independent film production.
