Determined to fulfill our mission of supporting film voices and talent at the forefront of new ideas, techniques and interpretations on screen, the DC Independent Film Festival continues through Sunday March 8th while responding to the coronavirus health crisis developing in the Metro DC region.

To support the safety of all, we are screening in a large, open theater that avoids crowding and we hold our seminars in similar spaces. We welcome you at our events where our staff encourages all attendees to be conscious of their own health and the health of others.

A Gene that Determines Success in Love?

Brighten your day with LOVE TYPE D, a film from the UK starring Maeve Dermody (Amazon’s Carnival Row) and with the film debut of Will Firth, Colin Firth’s son. Embracing the mood of THE OFFICE, the film follows a group from work as they struggle to reverse the genetic determinism that says they will fail in their relationships. Screening Sunday, March 8th, at 7:20pm followed by a discussion with director Sasha Collington and a chance to outdo the cast at karaoke.
