Deirdre Evans-Pritchard / Executive Director and Programmer spent years integrating digital media and arts into higher education with projects like Kidding Around: The Child in Film and Media Conference & Festival, documentaries for A&E and The Learning Channel and programming for Channel 98. Years ago she was the program editor for the Anthropos Documentary Film Festival at the AFI in Los Angeles. Previously DCIFF’s director of the “Filmmakers on the Hill” Forum, 2012 was her first year as festival director. A Senior Fulbright Scholar in Communications to Lebanon, visiting faculty at the University of Southern California’s Center for Visual Anthropology and adjunct faculty at the USC Cinema School, she describes herself as a translator: between cultures, mediums and creative spaces. Maria Datch / Director of Press & International Relations is a DC native, with degrees in the performing arts, literature and visual media. Over the last 20 years, she has held directorial positions in PR and Development for arts organizations such as Chicago’s ERC and Organic Theatre and Baltimore’s Theatre Project, in production for the NFL Baltimore Ravens, PBS, and independent and studio film/video productions in the mid atlantic and Chicago, and has freelanced in casting, production management, publicity, fundraising and special events. She is thrilled to be a part of DCIFF.
Katie Grube / Director of Submissions received her PhD in East Asian Studies from New York University. She is an adjunct professor at George Washington University, and her research focuses on the contemporary art, film and visual culture of post-Mao China.
Susan Donnelly / Graphic Design & Branding is a DC area native with extensive experience in the fields of graphic design, editorial, marketing, and event planning. Her work over the last 20 years for major media outlets, including National Geographic, Discovery Channel, American Film Institute, and Simon & Schuster, has prepared her to handle just about any creative problem. After studying children’s television and media and gender, Susan earned a BA from Tufts University and a MA from Harvard University School of Education. She is currently producing a documentary, ALLIANCE, about the first Jewish farming colony in the United States.

Karin Longren / Balloting, Awards, and VIP relations brings with her nearly 10 years of experience managing audience voting for nearly 150 features and shorts for the Los Angeles Film Festival. She rounds out her experience in the entertainment industry having worked for both Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox; as a producer for E! Entertainment Television; as assistant to a feature film producer and two network television producer/directors; and for a live music and events venue in the heart of Hollywood.
Paul Marengo / Director of Development and Festival Manager has 25+ years in the area of development and program execution. His experience includes a wide range of development activities including Corporate Support, Foundation Support, Government Support, and Individual Giving. Paul believes by empowering and providing the necessary tools to smaller non-profit organizations they can become competitive fundraisers. Paul has worked with and trained many non-profits on alternative ways of thinking of how data and other items can be of use to their development strategies. LV Taylor / Seminars Coordinator is an attorney with a solo practice that focuses on entertainment, intellectual property, business and nonprofit law. She counsels creatives and entrepreneurs and helps them protect and bring their visions to life. She is also a film critic and journalist writing for We Live Entertainment and Musings of a Streaming Junkie.
Madeleine Voth / High School Competition Coordinator will graduate from the Literary Media and Communications department of Duke Ellington School of the Arts in 2021, where she studies film and writing. She has some of her work published in The Skinny Poetry Journal, Howard University News Service, and Urban Health Media Project. She has been a High School Competition Coordinator for three consecutive years.
