New York City. 2016. In the years since Hurricane Sandy, the city has been brought to its knees by a series of ‘Frankenstorms.’ The damage has accumulated and New York is unable to recover. Electricity fluctuates, water is rationed, and there is little to no cell or Internet service. As hurricane season hits yet again, New York braces itself for the oncoming wave of destruction.
Roommates Margot and Daniel attempt to survive this ‘new’ New York by avoiding it at all costs. But with the advent of three strange deaths in their Brooklyn building, the world they’ve been hiding from is knocking hard on the back door.
Director Patrick Shearer is also an actor and sound designer for film and theatre based out of New York. He collaborated as Assistant Director on Jessi Gotta’s short film ANNIVERSARY DINNER and can be seen in the role of Carter Petch in the gotta/enk film THE BIG BAD, both of which have won a slew of awards on the festival circuit, both nationally and internationally as was screened at DCIFF 2012.
