Special Guest, JB Blanc!

Come and hear from JB Blanc, renowned actor of stage, screen, and voice acting, trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. He will take questions and share stories of his work in film, TV and video games.

His film and TV credits include Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Pirates Of The Caribbean: AWE, Moonlight Serenade, Garfield, Prison Break and NYPD Blue. JB has voiced over 400 characters in animation and video games including The Jetsons, Kung-Fu Panda, Scooby-Doo, Star Wars Jedi, Wayfinders, Fortnite, Arcane, Harry Potter Legacy, League Of Legends, and several Call Of Duty games. He is also a leading director in games and animation such as Call Of Duty, World Of Warcraft, Overwatch, Heroes Of The Storm, Hearthstone, Lego Dimensions, Lego Batman: Beyond Gotham, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Connect with an established cinematographer, NYU film student, Eric Kim, and industry experts in a round-robin format to learn about opportunities and insights within the film industry.

Meet Our 2025 Judges

Spencer Bruttig is an Emmy Award-winning documentary film producer and cinematographer based in Washington, D.C. He has produced films on the lost Maya of Belize, a soccer academy for at risk girls in Africa and on the re-introduction of frogs in Yosemite. In 2012, he went through a documentary film production summer intensive, which he credits for inspiring his career passion and knowledge and is very happy to be a part of this program helping to inspire the next generation of filmmakers.

Tamieka Chavis (AEA, SAG-e) is a classically trained actress with over 10 years of experience in theatre and film/tv productions which has earned her multiple nominations and awards, including the Daytime Emmy Awards (ANACOSTIA for Digital Drama Series)

Junhyeok [Eric] Kim, is a second year student from South Korea studying film at New York University (NYU). His film Well-dying, his first ever filmmaking experience, won top Award at DCIFF’s High School Film Competition in 2023.

2:30pm-4:00pm: Screenwriting Workshop with Writopia Lab. The workshop features writing games to spark creativity, including character development, script pitching, and dialogue writing. Notebooks and pens will be provided.

4:00pm-4:30pm: Film Kahoot with Prizes (win a portable Crosley turntable)

Chen Liangyu’s “Ecological Art Series” won awards for Best Animation, Best Poster, Best origianl
score, Best Young Producer and Natural Environment Film, etc. The works include Installation
art,Graphic design, Ink painting, Sculpture, Animation… different media and forms, all echoing the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
