A visually tense psychological thriller, A Bright Side of the Moon  opens as a sedan brings the kidnapped Parisa to an isolated cottage in the heart of a snow-bound forest. Kidnappers demand a $5million ransom from her husband, Behzad.  Gradually Parisa realizes that Behzad doesn’t want to pay the ransom; she must save her own life.

Farhad Alizadeh Ahi/Director, Writer, Production Designer.  Born in 1965, Tehran, Iran, Farhad Alizadeh Ahi studied Film Making at Film Making Training Centre and has his B.A in Set Designing, from Dramatic Arts School, Tehran University (1996) and a Master’s degree in Dramatic Literature from Tarbiat Modares University (2001). He has been working as a film director, screen writer, production designer & art director for more than 50 feature films, TV series and short films. He came to Canada in 2009 and since then has pursued his career as a director and production designer. Make a Movie Productions is a film-based company that he established with two friends of his. The Bright Side of the Moon is his first feature movie in North America.

Yadollah Shahbazi/Director of Photography was born in Kermanshah, Iran in 1964. He began his artistic activities in “Kermanshah Amateur Film-making Centre” in 1981. He received his Bachelor degree in film in cinematography from faculty of Cinema & Theatre of Art University in 1993, & his Master’s degree in Art Research from the same faculty in 1997. Since then he has been working as a cinematographer for more than twenty-five short films, five series & one feature film.
