In 1941 and 1942, comedic duo Bud Abbott and Lou Costello output an incredible 8 films. That’s about 1 every 90 days, on average, on film, for two years straight–and this as world war launched. I Don’t Know the Who or the What of how they did it. They probably were not the First. A powerful studio system, like other systems (government, social, and industry) of regulation and control, probably helped. Our world is vastly different. But great films are yet to be made and great lines to be uttered, for better or for first.
